Mita Vashisht appeared in minor roles in several Hindi films, including Chandni, Dil Se, Ghulam, Taal, and Good Luck Jerry. Recalling her time on the casting couch in the Telugu cinema industry, the actress expressed her enjoyment of being referred to as a theater artist.
The seasoned actress disclosed in a media conversation that "a Telugu film industry film producer tried to force himself on me." She continued by saying that while she was competing in the Chennai Film Festival, she was offered the lead role in a Telugu director's film.
She said that he had offered her the role and that living with him for two months would be required. Because of his limited grasp of English, she initially thought the director was trying to imply that she would need to go to his residence and prepare for the role. However, she stood up and started to leave the room as soon as he repeated it. She said, "I got out of there somehow, even though he tried to block my way."
In the same interview, Mita said that early in her career, she had informed directors that she would not be "going to sleep with them for films." Because of her strong morals, she was rejected from multiple films. However, some saw it and made the decision to feature her in their film.
