Sanjay Leela Bhansali opens up on life changing experience with Vidhu Vinod Chopra for 8 years!
Sanjay Leela Bhansali owes Vidhu Vinod Chopra his big break in Bollywood. The well-known director revealed that he began his career in the film business as Vidhu Vinod Chopra's assistant director, a role he held for eight years. Chopra's ex-wife was the one who made him take SLB for business, so getting on his team wasn't easy. Then he remembered how his eight years of experience working with the 12th Fail director "changed his life" and turned him into "iron and steel."
During a media conference, Bhansali talked about his difficult path into the film industry, saying that it was almost impossible for a lad from Bhindi Bazaar, who didn't have any friends, confidence, or connections, to get into this field.

He underlined that the road was challenging and drawn out. He also admitted that Bela Segal, his sister, had assisted him in getting inside Vidhu Vinod Chopra's office.
The director of Bajirao Mastani disclosed that his sister had previously collaborated with Vidhu Vinod Chopra and had contacted Renu Chopra, the former husband of Vidhu, who convinced Vidhu to hire him. After initially dismissing him in his customary fashion, Vidhu finally agreed, letting Sanjay work for him for eight years.
Sanjay also said how much he continues to appreciate Vidhu Vinod Chopra for the chance.

During the same conversation, SLB also talked about his early years, mentioning that he was raised in a 300-square-foot, colorless chawl. He gave an explanation of how his upbringing in a small space where every inch mattered influenced his perspective on the world. Though there was no color on the walls of the chawl, his dreams were colorful.
He added that these encounters fueled his creative frustration in addition to having an impact on his filmmaking. Bhansali claimed that although he has made important movies and has the right to do so, his chaotic personal life is the source of all of his problems.
